Pearce Events has developed out of Pearce Cycles, an established family run independent retailer based in Ludlow, South Shropshire trading since 1991.
For the past 20 years Pear Events has been organising mountain bike events at all levels. Pearce runs a very successful downhill series at regional level which attracts over 300 riders at each round. Racing courses are designed to cater for all levels of rider from grass roots up to elite level.
A bespoke web solution is required for event organizer to create and bike racing events and series events to allow bikers from different groups (age and capabilities) to book online and view racing results and standings. The huge amount of data is difficult to manage manually.
This new website is not only a simple ticket selling system, it's also the information hub to manage members and events. It allows Pearce Events organizers to records racing times. Race results and standings are worked out automatically from racing results. As each events have limited capacity for different groups, the booking system is designed to deal with capacity issues. There is also a waiting list reservation system, where member can register interest to join the race if capacity is full. The first member in the waiting list will receive notice if a rider quits the race. The whole system is designed to be scalable to deal with future updates without incurring huge development costs.
