Pennant is a well established manufacturer of retail display equipment, offering both standard and bespoke product ranges.
As acrylic fabricators, they manufacture and stock a comprehensive range of over 500 acrylic display products, along with providing a bespoke product design and manufacturing service such as product branding and laser cutting.
Pennant asked Vibe to design and develop a new ecommerce website that would sell the standard range of products online and promote the bespoke services available. The new website therefore had to promote both sides of the business, cataloging products, publishing information on bespoke services and showcase previous projects.
The design of the new site followed their existing brand and the colour scheme of their printed catalogue. The online shop and bespoke services were both clearly highlighted on the home page, offering prominent access to each. In addition, Pennant were celebrating their 30th year of trading, so this was another feature of the design.
On a technical level, the website needed to cater for continuous change and scalability. The ecommerce catalogue was developed around how products needed organising and the amount of detail that had to be published. With custom sized items available on the site, an online calculator was implemented to allow customers to calculate prices and order online. Various modules were also developed for price management, providing the site administrator with a tool for adjusting prices quickly and easily.
The site was built on our search engine friendly ecommerce system, incorporating an easy to use SEO management solution. This tool was also included within the content management system, enabling the site administrator to update or add to their many services.
